My Story
Syeda Afshan Nisar
CEO of Sim Transportation Services Inc.
As the founder and CEO of Sim Transportation Services Inc., my journey began not in a boardroom, but in the passenger seat of countless taxis and Ubers, navigating the challenges of attending critical medical appointments while battling chronic illness. I know firsthand how daunting it can be to face a healthcare system that often overlooks the human need for compassion and support.
During my own health struggles, I relied on standard ride-hailing services, only to find myself exhausted, anxious, and alone. Drivers hurriedly dropped me at curbsides, unaware of my physical limitations or the emotional toll of my condition. I longed for more than a ride—I needed a partner in my journey, someone to offer a steady arm, a reassuring smile, and the patience to walk me to the entrance. That simple act of kindness was missing, and it made all the difference.
This gap in care became my calling. I made a promise: no one should ever feel abandoned on their way to healing. In 2022, I founded Sim Transportation Services Inc., a non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) company built on empathy, dignity, and unwavering support. Our mission is clear—to transform medical travel into an experience that feels safe, comfortable, and deeply human.
At Sim Transportation, we don’t just drive patients; we walk beside them. Our trained drivers assist clients door-to-door, offering physical support, emotional reassurance, and a listening ear. Vehicles are equipped with amenities to replicate the warmth of home—soft blankets, calming music, and adjustable seating—because comfort should never be compromised. We serve those with mobility challenges, chronic illnesses, or anyone who simply deserves to feel cared for.
Every day, I am reminded of why we began: to turn vulnerability into strength. We take pride in restoring independence to our clients, ensuring their focus remains on healing, not logistics. This isn’t just a service; it’s a movement to redefine healthcare accessibility with heart.
To our patients: You are family here. Your courage inspires us, and we pledge to meet you with the compassion I once yearned for. Together, we’re making the journey matter.
With gratitude,
